About Us

RallyTech Motor Sport is part of Dave Baskerville Auto Services and is a family run business. Dave himself has been involved in motor sport from a very early age, building his first winning competition engine at just 15 years old - and that was just the start!

In the early 70’s Dave was competing in Autocross events throughout the South West, and winning many FTDs in his Mini. He went on to win the South West Autocross Championship in 1975. He then moved into Rallycross on a national basis, winning throughout the country in Minis and Escorts. This was followed by Stage Rallying in the late 70s.

They had many top five club event finishes, and several top ten national finishes, not to mention a couple of stage wins in the South West.

Dave still competes at some local club events and occasional events like the sand racing at Western Super-Mare.

He installed the first rolling road in Devon at the age of 20, technology which has become the Baskerville signature. He has always built and maintained other competitor’s cars and engines - and has built a great reputation for doing so.

In the past he has even transformed Mk3 Escorts and Mk1 Fiestas to rear wheel drive - ever the resourceful mechanic!

Son Paul is following fast in the same tracks! He has competed in several hill climbs, autocross events (beating Dad in one of them..) and the Chivenor Sprint. Paul achieved 2nd in the junior ASWMC championship in 2002 racing a Peugeot 205 he had prepared himself. He has also prepared a Ford Puma for Freddy Camp - a South West competitor in 1400cc endurance rallies, and he is now responsible for preparing and maintaining Frazer Martin’s Escort Cosworth on BTRDA stage events.

As a business we are becoming increasingly involved in motor sport, hence the introduction of the RallyTech Motor Sport name.
